Description
Founded in 1983, Regional Maritime University is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Accra. The RMU is a tertiary institution with diplomatic status in Accra, Ghana. Founded by the Republics of Cameroon, the Gambia, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the Institution goal is to enhance the development of the maritime transport sector and the fishing industry in member states through the maritime education of students, training of marine personnel, research and consultancy and promotion of maritime co-operation.
RMU aims to meet international standards and foster values such as teamwork, discipline and professional integrity. The potential of the maritim industry is major and the University goal is to train qualified people for the West African sub-region market.

For english speaking students :
- International Baccalaureate degree (IB) with a minimum score of 10 out of 20 in each of the main relevant subjects.
WASSCE, SSSCE, or NECO holders: The credits of the applicants have to be (A1-C6/ A-D) in the three 3 main subjects: Mathematics, English, and Social Studies/Integrated Science plus and (A1-C6/A-D) in any of the three other elective subjects that must include elective mathematics and physics with a score of not more than 36 on the WASSCE scale or not more than 24 on the SSSCE or NECO scales. -
-General Certificate of Education (GCE) Holders: all applicants have to have credits in at least five (5) G.C.E ‘O’ level subjects that include mathematics and English language in addition to at least three advanced level passes in other relevant subjects that include mathematics.

NB: All the rooms are furnished. Executive rooms enjoy dedicated cleaning services. Curtains, blankets and bed sheets are washed for all executive rooms by the University.
Laundry services are provided for students if requested, for a fee.
Rooms are allocated for a semester at the rate of $70 per cadet and $172.22 (8 occupants) or $252.22 (3 occupants) for non -cadets per semester. All rents are payable along with school fees
